Quick Lunch: Pesto Turkey Wrap

Time is of the essence when you’re starving and have kiddos to feed and look after.  This is one of my go-to lunches that can be assembled in minutes, doesn’t require any measuring or cooking, and is on the healthier side.

Bonus: You can eat it with one hand while child wrangling in the other.

All that’s needed is a whole wheat tortilla, a smear of pesto, a couple slices of deli turkey, mixed greens, and veggies (I love red onion and cherry tomatoes).  Wrap it up and enjoy standing up as I often do on busy days.

Pesto Turkey Wrap

  • 1 whole wheat tortilla
  • 1 tbsp. pesto (I like Rosso Pesto Sauce from Aldi)
  • 2 slices deli turkey
  • Handful of mixed greens
  • Handful of cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • Few slices of red onion
  • Salt & pepper to taste

  1. Smear the pesto on the tortilla. Lay turkey on top and season to taste with salt and pepper. Add vegetables and roll the tortilla into a wrap.

  • Holy Moly! This looks delish!!! I am all for one-handed food for when I am child wrangling! Plus I’m Aldi obsessed! You are speakin’ straight to this momma’s heart! 😉

    • Isn’t Aldi the best?!? Seriously, I started shopping there just a few years ago and was wondering what took me so long to realize what a money saving gem it is?!?
